These photographs are attempts to objectify and re-contextualize a particular interest in certain places and objects. In doing so, there is a hope to reassign value and establish larger existing connections. This set of images stems from an on-going fascination with the geological and astronomical concepts that surround our entire existence. Long ago, even the most mundane and everyday occurrences were connected to remarkable cosmic circumstance. Today, however, we find ourselves distanced from this kind of cosmic perspective. It seems both far removed and irrelevant, when in reality, even the most trivial things can be traced back to the universe and its origins. By manipulating the context of these subjects, new implications arise and juxtapositions are made where there is already an inherent relationship.
